Whatnot seller tools that tell you when to go live
PULSE is a set of Whatnot seller tools and live analytics. It tells you the best hour to go live, which category is open versus crowded, and what's hot on Whatnot right now.
Hot lanes on Whatnot right now
Open a lane for its live viewers, typical room size, best hour to go live and how crowded it is once that hour has enough sweeps behind it to compare against (until it does, the lane page says so plainly instead), or see the top categories ranked by live viewers. Free, no account.
What's free and what's Pro
Free, with no account and no card: the top 40 categories ranked by live viewers, plus the live viewer total across every category PULSE tracks counted across the rooms Whatnot's feeds list live in each category; every category page's live viewers, typical room size, best hour to go live and how crowded it is, once that hour has enough sweeps behind it to compare against (until it does, the lane page says so plainly instead); and every tracked seller's own public numbers: peak viewers, average audience while live, viewer-minutes, shows tracked and the single hour their rooms have been biggest. Pro adds history and trends, momentum, rival radar and who's leading a lane, win-rate, your own best hours by weekday and hour, alerts, watchlist and goals, the JSON API, and the busiest shows live inside a lane ranked by viewers. That's free for 14 days, then $19.99/mo.
Plan my next show
Pick a category and PULSE hands you a plan: the best time to go live in your local time, whether that lane is open or crowded right now, and who you would be up against. It beats going live into a room that was never going to fill.
Your reach and your rivals, in My Shows
Every tracked seller already has a public page of their own numbers, free: the audience they've delivered, their peak and typical room, and their biggest hour so far. My Shows turns that into your dashboard, with the rivals you overlap with, your best hours by weekday, your win-rate and your trend. All of it comes from public live-market data. PULSE never logs into Whatnot.
The best time to go live on Whatnot
PULSE reads viewer and seller activity by hour and day to find the best time to go live on Whatnot in every category it tracks, meaning the windows with strong demand and the least competition. Each tracked lane names its best hour on its own category page as soon as enough sweeps have banked at that hour.
Browse & Compare the lanes PULSE tracks
Browse Whatnot's categories as a searchable tree: the published categories PULSE can open, plus every lane its sweeps have found. Open any of the 193 lanes PULSE tracks for its live read, then stack up to four side by side to see where the audience is and which lane is least crowded.
What's breaking out before it peaks
PULSE watches the categories it tracks around the clock and flags shows and categories whose momentum is climbing fast, so you catch what's heating up before it peaks instead of arriving late.
Frequently asked questions
What is PULSE?
PULSE is a live market-intelligence dashboard for Whatnot sellers. It tells you when to go live, which category is open versus crowded right now, and who you're competing with, so you stop streaming into a dead room or a mobbed one.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free is the market view, and it needs no account and no card. The live rankings carry the top 40 Whatnot categories ranked by live viewers, plus the live viewer total across every category PULSE tracks, counted across the rooms Whatnot's feeds list live in each category, swept about once an hour. Every category page carries that lane's live viewers, its typical live-show audience, the hour that lane peaks and how crowded it is once that hour has enough sweeps behind it to compare against (until it does, the lane page says so plainly instead). So do every tracked seller's own public numbers: peak viewers, average audience while live, viewer-minutes, shows tracked and the single hour their rooms have been biggest. Pro is anything about YOU or about HISTORY. History and trends, momentum, rival radar and who's leading a lane, win-rate, your best hours as a weekday-by-hour grid, alerts, watchlist and goals, the JSON API, and the busiest shows live inside a lane, ranked by viewers.
How much does PULSE Pro cost?
PULSE Pro is $19.99 per month and includes a 14-day free trial. Cancel anytime.
What does "best time to go live" mean?
Best-time-to-go-live reads viewer and show activity by hour and day to find the windows where a category's audience is largest relative to how many sellers are competing, so your show reaches a bigger room. Every category page names that lane's best hour free, with no account and no card, once enough sweeps have banked at that hour. Pro adds YOUR best hours, the weekday-by-hour grid built from your own show history, plus the history behind the numbers and alerts when your lane breaks out.
How does PULSE actually help me as a seller?
It tells you when to go live (your best time windows, in your local time), which category is open versus crowded right now, and who you're competing with, so you don't stream into a dead room or a mobbed one.
What is the Browse tab?
Browse is Whatnot's category tree, searchable and collapsible: the published categories PULSE can open plus the lanes its sweeps have found, from Pokemon Cards down to Labubu, Crystals or Postage Stamps. It opens instantly and pulls numbers only when you open a lane. The live read on every lane PULSE tracks, all 193 of them, is free to anyone, no account and no card. That means its live viewers, how many shows are live, the typical live-show audience, the best hour to go live and how crowded it is once that hour has enough sweeps behind it to compare against (until it does, the lane page says so plainly instead), which is exactly what the lane's own category page shows. Pro adds the busiest shows live in that lane ranked by viewers, and the lane's history and momentum.
What is the Compare tab?
Compare stacks up to four categories or subniches next to each other, with live viewers, shows live now and, for each lane, how crowded it is once that hour has enough sweeps behind it to compare against (until it does, the lane page says so plainly instead). That shows you where the audience is and which lane is least contested. Add lanes from the Compare box, or with the "+ Compare" button in Browse. Those lane reads are the free layer and are on each category's own page with no account. The side-by-side board in the dashboard, each lane's ranked live shows, and the history and momentum behind them are Pro.
Is the Free plan really free? Do I need a card for it?
The free pages need no account and no payment card: the live rankings (the top 40 categories by live viewers, and the live viewer total across every category PULSE tracks counted across the rooms Whatnot's feeds list live in each category), every category page with that lane's live viewers, typical room size, best hour to go live and how crowded it is once that hour has enough sweeps behind it to compare against (until it does, the lane page says so plainly instead), and each tracked seller's own public numbers. A card is only required when you start the 14-day Pro trial, which adds history and trends, momentum, rival radar, win-rate, your own best hours, alerts, watchlist and goals, a lane's ranked live shows, and the JSON API.
How is PULSE different from Whatnot's own seller analytics?
Whatnot's analytics show you your own numbers: your views, your sales. PULSE shows you the rest of your market: who's drawing a crowd right now in the lanes it tracks, which of those lanes are heating up, who you're up against, and when the audience in your category actually turns up. Whatnot doesn't give you any of that.
How accurate is PULSE? Is it affiliated with Whatnot?
PULSE is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whatnot. It derives its rankings from public live-show data swept about once an hour, around the clock, so figures reflect what was visible at the last sweep and may differ slightly from Whatnot's own live numbers at any instant.
